[When Raleigh hums in agreement, it's not that he's confirming her question but agreeing with her thought. That it looks like a kaiju. Not exactly, and obviously a kaiju would never be carrying a city on it's back but the massive size of the creature, the way it moves-- it brings him back to the fight and to Gipsy and that's both a good and a bad thing.
He forgoes the tea too, in favor of sliding an arm around her shoulders, because constant contact is a thing of theirs and he knows that it freaks the Doctor out sometimes when they're connected by the mouth and some of the kid in Raleigh does it on purpose around the Time Lord, just to bother him. Most of the time though, he just really doesn't even notice that the Doctor's there, so wrapped in Mako and their bond that nothing else matters.

[ Really, it's starting to bug the Doctor, a lot, because do the both of you breathe through gills? And eurgh, kissing. All the mouth-touching and tongues and the things Raleigh and Mako do to each other that offends his sensibilities and sets his ears burning. That'll be quite enough of those, thank you.
